Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is Fitness Kickboxing / Boxing? 

     A. A beginner to advanced friendly full-body fitness class. Including but not guaranteeing stretching, strength and conditioning, kickboxing/boxing technique and form, bag work, and partnermitt work. 

  

  

  

Q.  What class is good for beginners? 

     A.  All our classes are be ginner friendly with the exception of Advanced Combat. (Wednesdays @ 7:30) 

  

  



Q.  Do I need to bring Boxing gloves? 

     A.  Boxing gloves are necessary for any class on our schedule with the exception of Strength and Conditioning (M,W, F 7 am) We rent and sell gloves in-store .   

  

  



Q.  What are / Do I need Hand Wraps? 

     A.  Hand wraps are needed to protect the knuckles and wrists from punching impact made on the bag and/or mitts. They will be needed if attending regular classes. We sell them too. 

  

  



Q.  Can a member use the gym space and not attend class? 

     A.  Yes! Please use all of our equipment and any open space at your own pace while we are open. Ask one of our friendly instructors for any tips, tricks, or instructions to use our equipment safely. 

  

  

  

Q.  Should I wear shoes or go barefoot for classes? 

     A.  In our main bag room, shoes are optional. Our red-matted room requires that you remove your shoes, unless boxing, wrestling, or mat-specific shoes are worn and approved by BBKA staff. We recommend wearing shoes when lifting weights or using our weights/equipment.
